| Park Host Positions
The SRA of LA are currently taking applications for park hosts at Oakridge Park, Cypress Bend Park, Pleasure Point Park, and San Miguel Park. All parks are located on Toledo Bend Reservoir.
WHAT IS A PARK HOST?
Park hosts give visitors their first impression of SRA parks. They provide hospitality to visitors and promote safe use of park facilities. They also give valuable insights on customer experiences and impressions to park staff through daily contact with visitors.
WHAT ARE THE DUTIES OF A PARK HOST?
- Greet campers, answer their questions.
- Explain the parks rules and regulations to campers. (Do Not enforce them)
- Be accessible to campers for comments and complaints.
- Serve as a gate attendant.
- Set example for others by keeping host site clean.
- Other projects or assignments based on park needs and hosts' skills and interests.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEING A PARK HOST?
- Free RV full hook-up site.
- Daily use of park facilities, such as water access, fishing piers, boat docks, and picnic area.
- Opportunities for relaxing, swimming, and fishing (state law requires a fishing license).
Note: No salary is provided.
HOW ARE PARK HOSTS SELECTED?
Park hosts must have their own RV, and are selected on:
- Camping experience
- Prior campground or park host experience
- Experience working with the public
- Length of time willing to be a park host
- Other skills that match park needs
